Placing a call on the NEC UX5000
Return to the NEC UX5000 Training Table Of Contents
Tip: Dialing 9 has several advantages over pressing a line key. Incomming calls come in on line 1 and then roll-over to the next available line. When you dial 9 you grab the last line available therefore there is less chance that you will pick up an incoming call at the same time it is ringing in (this is called “glare”). Also if you select a line button (as opposed to dialing 9) and try to use last number redial while someone is on that line you will get a busy signal.
