The NEC UX 5000 is NEC’s new unified communication server which supports peer-to-peer IP telephony or traditional digital switching. For the layperson what this boils down to is the UX5000 can be deployed as a fully IP based solution – All the way from SIP trunks to IP keysets (proprietary and 3rd party) or use traditional UX5000 digital keysets (including existing keysets from the NEC Aspire system).
The UX5000 platform is built around a main chassis (either a 3-slot or 6-slot) that can be propagated with a variety of blades according to the specific allotment of telephone lines/telephone sets/enhancements that meet our customers needs. Brackets for both chassis are available that allow them to be rack mounted or wall-mounted.
3-Slot Chassis
The 3-slot chassis is ideal for small offices (eight telephone lines and 16 telephones) or situations where you want to deploy an all IP solution. The 3-slot chassis can be connected with up to 7 other 3-slot chassis to allow more room for expansion.
6-Slot Chassis
The 6 slot chassis can be combined with up to 7 other 6 slot chassis to expand the UX5000 to a total of 41 expansion blade slots.
